We have taken the slower route on purpose. Every cleaning technician who enters your building is a regular W-2 employee of Special Touch — screened and trained by us, never a freelancer or a subcontractor working somebody else’s route. It costs more to staff a company that way, and it is the single biggest reason our customers stay.

About Special Touch
How long has Special Touch been in business?
More than 25 years, as a family-owned and operated company serving businesses, schools and government offices across the greater Toledo area. That longevity is mostly a function of customer retention rather than growth — a lot of the buildings we clean, we have cleaned for a long time.
Are your cleaners employees or subcontractors?
Employees. Every cleaning technician is a regular W-2 employee of Special Touch, screened and trained by us. We do not use freelancers or subcontractors, and we do not broker our floor care out to another company either.
Are you insured and bonded?
Yes, fully insured and bonded, and an A+ rated member of the Better Business Bureau. If your facility requires certificates of insurance, contractor onboarding or badging, we work within those requirements as a matter of routine.
Do you require a long-term contract?
Not for everything. Recurring janitorial and office cleaning works best as an ongoing agreement because consistency is the whole product, but plenty of our floor care work is one-time or seasonal. Whichever it is, the Schedule of Work is reviewed with you periodically and adjusted as the building changes.
What does the free custom cleaning plan involve?
We meet you at your building and walk it — square footage, floor surfaces, restroom count, traffic patterns and anything unusual about the space. You get a written scope and a price built around what we saw. There is no charge and no obligation attached to it.
